The purpose of the Position
Mari Organization for Research and Development is seeking a Projects Assistant to support the implementation of its projects in Syria. The Projects Assistant will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, liaising with field teams, and preparing reports to ensure effective project execution in alignment with established plans and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing project activities according to work plans.
- Coordinate with field teams and local partners to ensure efficient activity execution.
- Collect and analyze data to prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Support in developing work plans and project timelines.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation processes by gathering relevant data and reporting on project progress.
- Document activities and ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational procedures.
- Participate in meetings and workshops related to project activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, International Relations, Development, Economics, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in humanitarian or development projects, preferably within an NGO setting.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work in a multicultural team.
- Good in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of the humanitarian context in Syria is an advantage.
