Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate training and community engagement activities in line with project goals, outputs, timelines, and budget. The role aims to strengthen the capacity of physical education teachers, volunteers, and children through structured trainings and inclusive sport and social cohesion activities. This position also fosters collaboration with public institutions, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and sustainability of interventions. The role ensures adherence to protection standards and organizational policies while promoting meaningful participation of Turkish and Syrian children and families in project activities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor training plans according to project outputs and timeframes, and budget
- Disseminate training opportunities in coordination with public schools, and the provincial directorate of national education
- Organize sport and social cohesion activities (children) in coordination municipal and other local public authorities, civil society organizations
- Organize and deliver training in accordance with the demand from the target audience (PE Teachers)
- Organize and deliver training for volunteers
- Follow up with training beneficiaries to address any issues they may face in integrating programs.
- Provide reports on the plans, results, outputs, and evaluation of each training course through questionnaires provided before and after the training.
- Provide feedback to the project manager to improve training
- Write minutes and points of training sessions
- Participate in any external/internal training and evaluation programs
- Regularly ensure all data entry related to attendance and sessions using specific templates, and update this data periodically
- Prepare training documentation, including suitable photos, short films, and other means in coordination with the media department
- Will be dealing with coordinators from the directorate of Education and sport and youth
- Will work with the Turkish and Syrian parents who will send their children to attend our activities.
- Will be responsible for the registration of the children in the project activities.
- Ensure adherence to internationally recognized protection principles, standards, and relevant international and local regulations.
- Ensure adherence with BONYAN’s code of conduct and other internal policies i.e., on confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion including BONYAN’s commitments to the protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
- When and as requested by the DPMs and field supervisors, support BONYAN teams with establishing and maintaining a constructive dialogue with respective stakeholders responsible for social and protection services delivery.
- Assist BONYAN teams with other project activities as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
- Must be able to maintain appropriate beneficiary boundaries.
- Assist in the development, preparation, and conducting of community events on special days such as world refugee day, international women’s day, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and conducting of group information and awareness-raising sessions on various topics, including child labor, gender-based violence, access to social assistance, health, education, women’s rights, etc.
- Assist in the preparation and conducting of stakeholders’ sensitization activities.
Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in administrative or any relevant area.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of training experience preferably with a humanitarian organization
- Prior experience in teacher training and/or experience in football3 modality
- Extensive experience with the Turkish Public Schools System, and the Ministry of National Education
- Proficiency in MS Office suits, and google tools
- Fluency in written and oral Arabic and Turkish. Must be able to read and interpret documents and communicate with others as necessary to perform job duties effectively.
