About CCSDT:
The Center for Civil Society and Democracy (CCSDT) is an independent, non-profit Syrian organization founded in 2011. CCSDT aims to build a democratic and inclusive society through empowering local leaders, supporting good governance, and promoting
civic participation and independent media.
Position Summary:
The Programs Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and oversight of all CCSDT programs and projects, including the various networks and multi-sectoral initiatives implemented by the organization. The role ensures the effective translation of the strategic vision into practical implementation plans, overseeing their successful execution in alignment with CCSDT’s goals.
This role also includes representing CCSDT to donors and partners at both national and international levels and cultivating strategic partnerships to expand the center’s reach and impact
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Operational Leadership:
- Contribute to the development of CCSDT’s strategic plan and five-year budget.
- Translate strategic goals into clear, actionable operational plans.
- Ensure high-quality and timely implementation of all programs and networks.
Program and Team Management:
- Provide direct and indirect supervision of program teams.
- Coordinate human, technical, and financial resources across programs to ensure efficiency.
- Oversee performance reviews and support professional development for staff.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure robust systems are in place for program monitoring and evaluation.
- Oversee consistent documentation of activities and deliver high-quality narrative and financial reports.
- Establish and track performance indicators to measure impact and drive learning.
Fundraising and External Relations:
- Contribute to the development of new project proposals, including concept notes and budgets.
- Represent CCSDT to donors and strategic partners at national and international levels.
- Build and maintain partnerships that strengthen CCSDT’s programs and impact.
Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure all programs comply with CCSDT policies and relevant national laws.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and ethical implementation
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- university degree in development, business administration, international relations, political science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in civil society or public affairs, preferably in Syria or the region.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to lead strategic and operational planning.
- Strong team leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of project budgeting and financial monitoring.
- Excellent reporting and documentation skills.
- Full fluency in English (spoken and written).
