Tasks
- Conduct regular monitoring visits for WHH and partner activities in order to foster learning and adaptive management inside the WHH mission.
- Support the MEAL Manager and MEAL Coordinator in the field-level design, planning and implementation of the MEAL Plans for the mission in line with WHH strategy, tools, and guidelines.
- Train and supervise enumerators and MEAL assistants in data collection for MEAL activities.
- Support the MEAL Manager to elaborate standardized data collection tools (questionnaire design and coding).
- Provide support to local partners based on their specific needs, sharing standardized data collection tools, monitoring feedbacks and recommendations, and strengthening their MEAL internal capacity through tailored trainings.
- Update project and programme monitoring tools monthly, in coordination with programme and partner staff (project indicator tracking table, MEAL activity trackers among others).
- Coordinate with project staff to ensure reactive and accurate project activity tracking.
- Draft analysis and reports after data collection, under the supervision of the MEAL Manager.
- Conduct regular capacity assessment visits to stakeholders (local partners, local authorities, humanitarian hubs, collective centers etc) and assess their needs in terms of MEAL.
- Support the smooth functioning of WHH CRM (Complaint and Response Mechanism) in coordination with CRM assistant(s).
- Perform any other related activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness and comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
Specific Knowledge:
- Intermediate to fluent level of spoken and written English.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Experience in MEAL frameworks, tools, and indicator development.
Strong data collection & analysis skills (quantitative & qualitative). Background in statistics, sociology or research appreciated.
Proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Power BI, Power Query).
Familiarity with digital data collection tools (Kobo Toolbox, CommCare, ODK, Red Rose).
Knowledge of MEAL standards (Sphere, CHS, OECD-DAC).
Accountability & Learning:
Ability to capture lessons learned and promote adaptive programming.
Knowledge of FRCM.
Reporting & Communication:
- Strong report writing and data visualization skills.
- Ability to train and support staff on MEAL methodologies.
- Coordination abilities with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of labor discipline, labor protection and safety rules, fire-prevention requirements, industrial sanitation and labor hygiene rules.
