What does this consultancy role involve?

Caritas Australia is seeking a consultant with specific skills in MEAL to support the delivery of its projects to enhance impact and effectiveness.

  • Support internal staff training and capability building
  • Ensure high standard of internal documentation and guidelines
  • Support partner organisational development
  • Enhance project quality
  • Support applications for new funding opportunities

Who are we looking for?
For this consultancy role, we are seeking a technical MEAL expert and advisor who is highly organised and dynamic and is committed to making a difference in the world.

The successful candidate will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing MEAL frameworks in international development projects
  • Proficiency in Excel query functions and experience in using data analytics tools
  • Proven ability to synthesise complex data
  • Experience in collaborating with local partners, NGOs, and international agencies to implement MEAL activities
  • Familiarity with international development frameworks (e.g. DFAT, OECD DAC Criteria or EU donor requirements).
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills together with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Catholic Social Teachings and experience in working with faith-based organisations.
